Overview
As a Senior Mobile Developer at Stone, I participated in the development of the "Roleta Premiada" in the Ton app, a feature designed to increase engagement of micro-entrepreneurs using Ton card machines. This project involved implementing modern technologies and closely collaborating with product teams to deliver a solution that balances technical innovation and user value.
Technologies used
- Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP): The choice of KMP allowed for the development of a shared codebase for Android and iOS, optimizing the development process and ensuring functional consistency across both platforms.
- UI with Jetpack Compose and SwiftUI: I used Jetpack Compose on Android to create a declarative and reactive UI, while on iOS, SwiftUI was the choice to maintain a smooth user experience aligned with the guidelines of each platform.
- Backend integration: Ensured efficient and secure integration with backend services, using RESTful APIs and implementing caching strategies to improve performance and offline experience.
Product vision
- User focus: The "Roleta Premiada" was conceived as part of a gamification strategy to encourage savings and usage of "Baú do Ton". By offering rewards such as reduced rates and vouchers, the feature not only increased user engagement but also added real value by helping micro-entrepreneurs grow their businesses.
- Multidisciplinary collaboration: I worked closely with product, design, and marketing teams to ensure the feature not only met technical expectations but also aligned with user needs and the company's strategic goals.
- Rapid and iterative delivery: With an agile approach, we delivered the "Roleta Premiada" quickly to the market, allowing teams to collect user feedback and iterate on the feature to continuously improve the experience and value offered.
Results and impact
The Roleta Premiada stood out for increasing user engagement and promoting healthy financial habits among micro-entrepreneurs. The combination of a robust technical approach and a clear product vision ensured that the feature not only worked well but also created a positive impact on the business and users' lives. This project exemplifies how effective integration between technology and product vision can result in solutions that not only meet but exceed user expectations and contribute to the company's success.
